New hand baggage regulations  

of the European Union Since 6 November 2006 a new regulation of the European commission applies for the security of civilian air traffic. This regulation limits the quantity of liquid, which aircraft passengers in the hand baggage may carry forward by the security check places. The following two restrictions of the liquid quantities in the hand baggage apply: whose capacity is with maximally 100 ml.

  2. All tanks must be presented in a plastic bag at the safety boards of control. This plastic bag may a capacity of maximally a litre have and must transparency and be lockable. At the airport, behind the security checks (e.g. in the Duty Free Shop), acquired liquids may be carried in the hand baggage. Their purchases from Duty Free and Travel VALUE shops are to be carried forward within the European Union and you by the sales personnel in transparent and sealed bags are handed over. Please you keep the purchase voucher of the goods carefully, for these must on the day of the journey be issued. If the bag up to the end of the last stage remains locked and seals, transferring with the Duty, smooth in the European Union, ensures Free goods. To the USA at present special arrangements for Duty Free purchases apply. Appropriate information receives you with the respective sales office. Beyond that becomes starting from 6. May 2007 (with British Airways immediately) the size of the hand baggage on maximally 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm limits, which corresponds approximately to the size of a small roll suit-case. Exception rules for music instruments will remain existing further. Those already well-known regulations to forbidden articles in the luggage and hand baggage remain valid.
